The Life of Kai

Meet Tonka

Tonka's family is so very happy with their baby and he is doing great!

Tonka, the beautiful baby from Beau and Cuddy that we adopted from you in August, just completed his puppy kindergarten class. The instructor told me that in all her years of training, he is hands down the smartest Newfoundland she has ever come across. When we left, my husband, John, said, “We’re driving six hours back to West Virginia when we get our next Newf puppy. I want another one from Shelley.”

At 4-1/2 months, he sailed through house breaking and was a champ at Kindergarten. We’ve already taught him to help us carry (very small) packages from the car into the house. He has all of his shots, his health is good and he weighs close to a lean, strong 70 pounds. And he is greatly loved and adored here.  Here is Tonka in his graduation cap.
